Sequoyah Regional Library System
The Sequoyah is a monthly publication of the Sequoyah Regional Library System.
Dear SRLS Community,

With another incredible Summer Learning program in the books, we’ve hit an important milestone worth celebrating. Over the past year, from July 2021 through June 2022, our awesome community checked out over *one million* items from our libraries in Cherokee, Pickens, and Gilmer County. This level of library support is only possible thanks to all of you. Here’s to one million more check-outs over the next year!

As families begin to wind down from their summer vacation, we want to remind everyone that the library is your back-to-school paradise. Students can enroll in EZ Student Accessto check out library materials without a library card, print from anywhere to a library computer (which comes in handy for all of that homework), and borrow helpful technology (including Chromebooks and Wi-Fi Hotspots) from our Library of Things. Although summer’s on its way out, our libraries continue to offer a variety of all-ages events, including a new programming series called Knowledge Base which debuts this month. We hope you enjoy it!

An Unforgettable Summer with Oceans of Possibilities!
This year’s Summer Learning Program was some of the most fun we’ve ever had at the library! With over 2,000 participants on Beanstack, over 8,000 badges earned, over 700,000 minutes read, and countless visitors to our summer events, the outpouring of support from our wonderful community has warmed our hearts. (And when it’s the middle of summer, our hearts are already pretty warm!) Thank you for diving into Oceans of Possibilities and spending your summer with us. (And remember, our libraries are here all year round with fun events and programming!)
